Milo + Olive is an all-day neighborhood bakery and pizzeria from Josh Loeb and Zoe Nathan, partners behind the Rustic Canyon Family of restaurants. From 2021-2023, we’ve been selected for the MICHELIN Guide California.
The menu represents our group’s continued commitment to truly seasonal, market-driven cuisine—a reflection of the best ingredients available from local farmers and vendors with sustainable practices. Breakfast showcases Head Baker Andrea Shirey’s handcrafted breads, rustic pastries and morning desserts, with plated dishes incorporating a variety of those breads, plus hearty egg dishes and bowls by the culinary team. For lunch and dinner, Chef de Cuisine Dean Boswell turns out a selection of different classic and seasonal pizzas, made with Zoe’s signature 48-hour pizza dough, alongside an array of rustic, Italian wood-fired vegetables and proteins, handmade pastas and small plates for sharing.
We’re also the bread-baking hub for the restaurant group, where the team can experiment with new varieties of pastries and breads. We incorporate a wide selection of organic, whole-grain flours (some gluten-free), alongside more traditional breakfast pastries and desserts. Inspired by the farmers’ market, our bakers bring a bounty of ever-changing, fruit-driven sweets to the table.
The wine and beer list is curated by Rustic Canyon Family Wine Director Kathryn Coker (also Co-Owner of Esters Wine Shop & Bar), and focuses on highlighting small vineyards and breweries from across the globe. Refreshing cocktail options rotate with the seasons and are available all day long. Additionally, the restaurant serves espresso drinks and drip coffee from small-batch Ojai roaster Bonito Coffee.
